Soldiers in the Podcasting Game (Chill, Relaxing, Soulful, Jazzy Podcast from My Love for Music)

MLFM episode 15 -

Soldiers in the Podcasting Game

(VoiceMail: 636-299-0787)

"Out my window" by nycgirlygirl72
Every so often I have to "stretch" my brain cells when coming up for a title or theme for my podcast. Some titles come from the titles from one of tracks, from a line in a movie or just how I'm feeling at the moment but this one was a little tough. So when I get stomped I take my iPod with the playlist I'm going to use for the show and get to walking and while listening to the instrumental and vocal tracks of the same tune it hit me that I have give a shout out to the podcasters that showcase music from the mainstream and the podcasters that show case music from new artists from the world of Soul, Hip Hop, and Pop.

I've said in the past that "there's no good music out here from the mainstream" and funny the older you get some of us begin looking at some things through blinders and not taken time to look at the whole picture and the truth is there are some gifted artists in the masses making wonderful music and for me saying that comment, I am truly sorry. Now I'm not saying that all of the music it good because lets be honest, it is but to put it all in the same barrel is not fair to the artists, the songwriters, the composers.

These tracks I've selected are some of my favorite tracks from the past that made me realize that if it wasn't great vocal music coming from the mainstream and new artists these jazz and folk music would not have taken the time to compose these tracks into instrumental form. Hope you get a chance for the next hour so to...

Kick Back, Relax, and Enjoy the tunes
