Monday, October 18 - 6 pm

Join us for a lively reading and discussion with two established writers whose thought-provoking innovative poetry challenges social and cultural norms as black queer thinkers, activists, and soothsayers. Hosted by Steven G. Fullwood, project director of the Black Gay & Lesbian Archive.

Africans in Colonial New York: Educators' Workshop
Tuesday, October 19 - 5 p.m.

Teachers are invited to join Schomburg scholars and park rangers from the New York African Burial Ground National Monument for this workshop about the history and cultural contributions of New York City’s early African population.
